CREW FAQ

Your business.
We've got your back.

You do the clean. We bring the jobs. Here's how payments, your schedule and support work.

How do I get paid?

The customer pays you the full cleaning total at the end of the job. No reservation fee is collected right now. Your job screen shows exactly what to collect and your crew job pay. About 99% of customer payments are cash, but we recommend having plenty of payment options ready.

Set up the methods you want to accept before your first job. More options make it easier for the customer to pay and for you to keep your day moving. Confirm you've received the payment before heading out.

What if a customer refuses to pay?

We back our crew. You will still get paid for your time. Sometimes a customer makes things difficult. Call Zacks as soon as it happens and tell us what's going on.

We'll pay you for your time in cash and handle getting the money from the customer. You can call us anytime. You don't have to chase them or get into an argument to get paid.

Do I have to stay for the full two hours?

No. Finish the clean, not the clock. Complete everything the customer booked, make sure they're happy with the result and collect payment. If you're done early, keep it moving.

Take your before and after photos and complete the job in your workspace. Your job pay stays the same when you finish early, so getting the work done well in less time increases your actual hourly rate.

How much can I make?

Job pay is based on $45 per booked hour, plus tips. A two-hour interior clean shows $90 in crew job pay. With a $20 tip, that becomes $110.

If you complete that clean in 90 minutes, $110 works out to about $73.33 per hour for your time on the job. Your finished-job screen shows your actual start time, end time, earnings and hourly rate after you enter your tip. Tips vary.

Can I choose my own hours and take weekends off?

Yes. You build your week. Open Menu → Availability to choose your days and hours. Use the 40-hour, weekends-off button, pick evenings or weekends only, or move the weekly-hours slider.

We work as late as 8 PM Eastern. Fine-tune individual days, add days off and save your hours. The planner shows how many two-hour cleans could fit and potential pay. Available hours are not a guarantee that every slot will fill.

Is this basically running my own business?

That's the idea: you handle the clean, we make getting jobs easy. You bring your equipment, choose the towns you'll drive to and publish the hours you want to work.

Zacks handles the marketing, customer booking and job list. Your workspace keeps the details, maps, photos and earnings together so you can focus on the work.

How do I find jobs and get to the customer?

Your job list shows available work, the general town, appointment time and job pay. Accept a job to see the customer's full address, contact details and map.

Tap Navigate to open directions. The job list also shows how appointments fit around your other jobs, helping you plan your day's route. Before you accept, make sure you can get there on time.

What equipment should I bring?

Bring your own transportation and a ready-to-work cleaning kit: shop vac, microfiber towels, interior and glass cleaners, brushes and the supplies needed for the job.

Shampoo jobs need a shampooer or extractor. Hand washing and waxing need their own gear. Only check add-ons you have the equipment and experience to perform. Jobs with unchecked add-ons skip you.

How do I get new jobs?

Turn on job alerts through Menu → Set up my phone. You receive an alert when a job is available to you and fits your service area, services and published hours.

Open the alert, review the job and tap Accept job. The first successful Accept gets the job. If someone else accepts first, it disappears from the available list.

Jobs do not automatically fill your schedule. Keep your hours and service areas current.

Will happy customers book me again?

Customers can use your crew booking link to request you again when you have the time and services available. You still need to tap Accept job.

A regular booking through the main site is offered to eligible crew, and the first successful Accept gets the job. A five-star review does not automatically assign the next booking to you.

What do I do when I start and finish a job?

Open the accepted job, take a before photo and start the job. When the booked work is finished, upload an after photo and complete it. Collect the customer's payment and enter any tip to see your updated earnings and hourly rate.

You can then open a text draft with the customer's review link. Job photos and the customer's review appear on the public review page for that town.

Can I try it before my first real job?

Yes. There's a practice job in your job list. Try accepting it, opening the details and map, starting it with a photo and finishing it with an after photo.

You'll see the celebration, time worked, earnings and tip buttons. It's a demo, with no real customer or payment.
